Course Description

The Whole Woman Yoga® Set

The Whole Woman YogaWomen love yoga but are often unaware that yoga was designed by men for male bodies. Women in India weren’t allowed to practice yoga until the 1930s.

There is a reason for this. The physiological needs of women and men are different. An asana or posture that is save for men may put her pelvic organ support system at risk.

Christine Kent, founder of Whole Woman, in response to requests for a yoga type of exercise that was safe for the pelvic organ support system, has produced three Whole Woman Yoga® videos.

Each video is built around a different chakra or energy center in the spine, starting with the root chakra in The First Wheel, the navel in the Second Wheel, and the solar plexus in The Third Wheel.

Each video has an introductory section describing the role of that chakra.

Shot in scenic New Mexico and Pacifica, California and with quiet and calm background music, the Whole Woman Yoga® will inspire, center and refresh you.

The First Wheel is particularly helpful for supporting Whole Woman posture.

The Second Wheel is a bit more challenging and has been enthusiastically received by postpartum women.

The Third Wheel has particular emphasis on Whole Woman firebreathing, a key technique in Whole Woman prolapse and urinary incontinence management.

Many women rotate their exercise sessions with a different Whole Woman Yoga® video each day.

Relax, center, tone up, and support your pelvic organs at the same time.

Bonus video -

Restore Your Goddess Belly is important anatomical information for the postpartum women dealing with diastasis recti, or the older woman considering breast augmentation, tummy tuck or face lift. This is information you will never hear from your surgeon. A specialized exercise routine is included.

Founder, Whole Woman

Christine Kent

Having suffered a profound uterine prolapse in the early 1990s as a result of bladder suspension surgery, Christine refused the recommended hysterectomy and spent more than a decade researching her condition in the medical literature and experimenting with dance, alignment, body work, and posture. Finally, she brought her own prolapse under control and began teaching other women how to control theirs. Author of Saving the Whole Woman, still the definitive book on the subject of non-surgical intervention for pelvic organ prolapse, Christine has also produced, written, directed, and narrated over a dozen videos and video courses to help women help themselves. Her work has kept thousands of women out of the operating room in over sixty countries.
